Empowering Communities Through Mama Kettle corn and Emattan Partnership

Mama Kettle Corn, with the support of Emattan’s micro-financing loans, embarked on a remarkable journey of empowerment in Tanzania. Using the loans, they had large popcorn cauldrons built. On one of Emattan’s Adventure Trips, we helped teach them how to use them. The initial reactions were filled with curiosity , as many had never tried popcorn before. However, when two women elders gave it a try and shared their love for it, the entire group erupted with joyous dancing. This newfound passion for popcorn led to more people learning how to make it, and Mama Kettle Corn was born. Today, Mama Kettle Corn supports five people as they grow their business, and their popcorn has become a beloved snack for the local school children. This partnership between Mama Kettle Corn and Emattan embodies the spirit of empowerment and community development, creating a brighter future for all involved.
